Presentation of the LIFE Waste4Green project at the International Research Symposium in Natural Bioactive Products


The LIFE Waste4Green project has been presented in the framework of this international event focused on natural products with bioactive properties.

The UGR-CSIC unit "BIOPLAG: Biotechnology, Synthesis and Chemical Diversity", associated with the University of Granada and the Spanish National Research Council, together with the University of Antioquia (Colombia), organised the International Research Symposium in Natural Bioactive Products, in the framework of the i-COOP collaboration programme "Valorisation of Colombian agroforestry waste: A training tool in biocontrol and circular economy".

The Symposium took place on 24, 25 and 26 November 2021, distributed in three academic sessions at the Faculty of Science of Granada,  with presentations by different experts in the innovation of biopesticides and drugs based on natural products obtained from agroforestry waste, plants and microorganisms, and a technical session that included a visit to the facilities of the company Kimitec in Almeria.

Dr. MªFe Andrés presented the latest advances of the LIFE Waste4Green project to the participants, who were up to 60 people connected online and more than 20 in person.
